Google faces $1.2 billion fine for manipulating search results


According to reports, European antitrust officials are in the process of issuing a fine of $1.2 billion (€1.06bn) to Google for using its search engine to veer customers towards its newly launched Google Shopping service.

In the coming weeks, a formal announcement will be made. Responses from both the parties are not available yet.
